STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

I'm already growing tired of my flip flops for during the day around campus. They provide no support, get caught on rugs in the dining hall (bad bad idea when your walking with a tray of food) and are ugly. They're also bad for puddles and make my feet feel yucky.

That said, where do I find good comfy casual but nice summer shoes that aren't pricey and will get me through. I work at a newspaper during the summer and I'm often out on assignment covering events - usually in town but often go to fairs and festivals.

I thought about the criss cross toe hold sandals from Urban but also need something else.

Has anyone noticed anything good at target or elsewhere maybe online?

Any suggetions are appreciated.
