I know this is a weird question, but I'm just curious. I found out I had flat feet when I was about 7 or 8, and had to wear inserts. That didn't last long. As an adult, I find that shoes are increasingly uncomfortable if they aren't sneakers. Nice heels really kill my feet, but I always end up buying them anyone in the hopes that it just might be the pair that fits and feels comfortable. I was just wondering if anyone else has the same problem that I do, and what you do about it.
I do but they're not so flat that they hurt me. I wear inserts in my school shoes but never with my other shoes. If you haven't been to a podiatrist, I would recommend that you go. Mine told me my feet were flat (but not a huge problem) and sent me to a specialist who made custom inserts for me.

Yeah I went to a podiatrist when I was really young and got some inserts made. Since it was so long ago, I don't really remember how severe the problem is for me. All I know is DH makes fun of me when I get out a pool and leave footprints because they don't look like footprints at all, more like blobs with toes. Mine only hurt when I wear heels or shoes that have absolutely no support. I was just curious if anyone else had a problem.
I'm a flat-footer! I'm ok as long as i get shoes with arch support. For some reason, heels never bother me. Most of my problems are with flats, but I just put in inserts. And the only type of flips flops I can wear are reefs, because they have the best support.

At least I now know I'm not the only one! Flip flops are a big concern for me too. There's absolutely no support!
