I have this dress that I've never worn.

I would like to make it appropriate for my sister's HS graduation & maybe a baby shower? Both in May (read: hot in TX or Louisiana where I'll be) but I obviously need to cover the straplessness of it & I like to have my upper arms covered anyway. Here are a few things I'd like to use if possible - I'm on a shopping ban & I'd rather buy as little as possible, but you are welcome to make suggestions other than these - I may have something similar or be willing to buy it if it's reasonable.

I have this lace bed jacket but i don't see it working with either of my shoe choices. I am also going to cut off the tie & pin it - i have a few really pretty broaches (sp?)

I have both of these pairs of shoes & i've only worn the "boop" ones once & never wore the others which i affectionatley call my lilykind shoes because they remind me of her. Neither are mandatory either

Great dress! Honestly, I am seeing it with a lighter shoe (both in terms of weight/style and color) for summer and those two events.

For your sister's graduation, maybe a more casual kitten-heel mule?

Pelle Moda Destiny

This would work with the bed jacket.

And for the shower, I might do a version of a stepford wife.

I think these shoes are workable - the others look a little heavy for summer and warmer weather.  Hmmmmm maybe something like this over your dress:

Mossimo® Black: Short-Sleeve V-Neck Cardigan - White$17Mossimo® Black: Cardigan - Milan Aqua$17

$22.50George - Women's Crochet Cardigan$11

Hmmm, ok, so we ditch the lilykind shoes for the summer - I just had an outfit all picked out with that dress using fishnets & those shoes & some type of wrap / pashima for the winter & couldn't shake it.

After digging in my closet I remembered that I also own these shoes that I forgot about since I don't dress up that much anymore. (those leopard via spigas were worn looking like that new - my DH hates them - not that I care) And I realize 2 pairs of these have ugly toe marks in them but I promise it doesn't show when I wear them.

And poptart, I have some pink ones that look a lot like these that I got on clearance over the winter

Thanks for the suggestions so far - I'm probably going to try on a bunch of these options & post my favs.

I think the pink shoes would look good with the bedjacket and a great brooch.
