first, I'd like to thank everyone who provided advice and ideas on my post yesterday - it was really helpful. I pulled it because... well you can PM me if you want to know.
ok - so I stopped by a local TJ Maxx today (we have some awsome TJ's around here), just in the off chance they might have a suit. I found a plum Armani suit that was originally $1345 for only $250! and it fits! the skirt fits perfectly, but the jacket is a bit loose in the waist - for the time being, I'm going to just move the button over so it's more fitted.
anyway - here's the choices on how to wear this suit
Ensemble #1
brown ruffle blouse & bronze manolo pumps
Ensemble #2
cream ruffle blouse & pollini pumps with plum detailing (I should have probably tucked in the blouse)
all opinions welcome! TIA!
oh - and gratuitous price tag shot

What type of interview are you going on? The reason I ask is that if it's a boring, businessy place, I'd worry about the heel heigth, the fact it's so skinny (i.e. sexy), and the detailing on the back of the shoe - on the second suit. As for the first suit, again if it's a very conservative place, I'd go with a heel without an ankle strap, although the heel is wider, so that part is perfect.
If it's someplace a little more creative, I say go with the 2nd outfit because I LOVE that shirt.
But, all in all, if it's a bit more conservative, I'd go with outfit #1.
Also can I just say that this is a hard decision because damn! you make that suit look good.
well, I was trying to avoid calling attention to an interview, because the people I am interviewing with have been visiting the site (that's why I deleted the post from yesterday) - and I felt odd talking about my interview outfit. but since I don't seem to be able to avoid it, I'll just make sure this post is deleted during business hours.
anyway - it's a position that depends heavily on creative strategy - so yes - they are interested in me for my creativity and knowledge of trends, so I don't want to go boring black tahari.
