I posted this in the style forum, too, but I thought it appropriate in there as well.

I just set up an interview for Thursday(!) for an internship at a magazine that I *really* want this summer. It's a gambling magazine, so I don't have to dress up to prove my hipness or fashion sense or anything, but just look nice and professional. But, because I've never worked anywhere "real" before, I'm slightly nervous about what I'm going to wear. My nicest black shoes, I can't find them but they're kind of like these, but matte, thicker heel, and where the part that covers my toe starts they come to a point where these are round

Are those appropriate for an interview? My heels are 2 1/2 inches... is that too high for an interview? I'd like not to buy new shoes but if it meant the difference in impressing this guy, I will...

Also, I have two black skirts I'm thinking about wearing. One is A-line and has dark blue diagonal pinstripes. The other is plain black and kind of flared at the bottom (it's not bad or noticeable really unless you lay the skirt flat on the ground, but is a different shape). The second is 98% polyester and for some reason kind of seems "cheaper" to me (although the former is 68%, so I'm kind of suprised I notice that humongous of a difference)... does anyone have an opinion on that? is polyster too cheap for a job interview?

Also, I know this isn't really a "fashion" question, but what do I carry my resume, etc. in? Because this is an internship I don't have a briefcase, and I won't have *that* many papers to carry, just my resume and a references list, would it be tacky to carry that in in a folder? Obviously they wouldn't fit in my purse without me having to fold them... or would it be okay to tri-fold them and keep them in an envelope? I've never heard anyone discussing this!
