May Lucky

I just got my May Lucky in the mail and it is missing about 40 pages!!!!  I went to look for the wardrobe checklist on page 133 and there are no pages from page 121 to page 162 except a Paul Mitchell ad!!!  Is anyone else's like this????  I'm going to pick up one off the newstand and see if it is the same way.  What a screw up!!

i have those pages and I don't think you are missing much if that helps.  I was not impressed with this months issue at all.

This was the worst issue EVER!  There was hardly anything I "yes" or "maybe'd".  There wasn't even ONE thing I liked in any of the editors What I Want Now pages.  I usually like Anne Keane style the best, but not May's issue.  Man, are they in a rut!  Hopefully I will win one of the Giveaways to cover the cost of the magazine!

weird! I don't remember seeing a wardrobe checklist- I'll have to double check and see if I'm missing pages too!

I haven't read my yet. I got it in the mail but because i am going on a roadtrip this weekend i was saving it. Well it seems like i am going to be picking up a magazine on the road if this issue isn't going to take me long to read.

the "checklist" wasn't really a checklist in my mag. So maybe that's why you don't remember it choo? I got mine yesterday, flipped through it for about 15 minutes & was really "mweh" about the whole thing. I'll go back through it because I always miss something but I'm truly bored with Lucky..

Most of the pages you're missing are ads. They just featured some tops on four pages and the rest of the pages belonged to the beauty section.

As for the rest of the mag, I actually did see a few things I liked, such as the nature-inspired jewelry and the woven flats. I thought the bird motif stuff was also cute but it's not like it was anything new or original.

I don't think there was a single outfit I liked, though....

How about this...I happened to be in a bookstore the day it was released, so I flipped through it and it didn't have the Lucky FL/Miami page. Every single one on the rack was missing that one page (I love that page) So I got mine in the mail today, and it had it. Weird....

Fairywings have you ever noticed that page in the mags on the rack any other month?  I thought maybe they only included it in the issues mailed to the subscribers but I am probably wrong.

hmm mine had all those pages. I agree this month was pretty boring. It had a lot of pages but I flipped through it a couple of times and didn't even use one of my stickers this time.

I don't think that's the case. I always get my Lucky from the newsstand and without fail I get my Local Breaks for Los Angeles...except for once in October '04 when they had NoCal pages in the mag instead

I did like a few things from this issue and I'm really happy for Jami/jlear being featured in the Lucky Breaks. It's so hard because Lucky to me is so far and so much worse from what it was 5 years ago.

I recently cancelled my subscription to Lucky if that tells you how I feel about it.
