ok, i am going to order a couple of these tank tops from old navy to layer but i want to put oy style tanks underneath instead of the ones shown because they have fatter straps and i could wear a regular bra with them.  do you think it would look funny with the difference in the neck line  and the straps?   should i stic with the tanks that they have shown?

i think you're asking if you could layer this one:

with this one under it:

?

if that's what you mean, then yes, i think the first one would look fine with a beater style tank under it instead of the one they have paired with it.

I think it would look cute if you did. I like the idea of different neck shapes.

Agreed.  I think it adds more interest to have different necklines.  That's how I prefer it anyway.

I agree that the layers would look cute.

Have you had any experience with ON tanks though? I have both styles, and I strongly recommend sizing way down in the spaghetti strap (they stretch insanely, but I haven't found the style anywhere else in as many colors) and maybe getting the larger-strap ones elsewhere (mine all have stretched out a ton, and ended up looking weirdly misshapen). Just as an example, I have an XS in the spaghetti strap ones, and they are BAGGY on me - and I usually wear a large in tops.
