If anyone will know this, you ladies will.

My daughter just got a new job at a hostess at an Olive Garden like restaurant.  She has to wear non slip shoes.   She also has to wear black bottoms (either pants, cropped pants or gauchos (the knit kind are fine too).  She's 17 and adorable and doesn't want UGLY shoes.  Any food service industry experts who can point us to some cute options?

I found some that have rubber soles and look appropriate for a restaurant hostess:

I wear these for school and they're not the cutest shoes in the world but they are really comfy with inserts:

Dr. Martens 8065 Series

I've had years of "character building" working in restaurants... the quest for a good-looking, comfortable, non-slip shoe was never ending (plus they get all grody from walking in a food-laden environment - so they need to be replaced periodically) also look for smooth leather so they can be wiped off.

Honestly, I would take her to DSW so she can try on comforatable and inexpensive black leather flats. She'll be on her feet for hours, and will need to make sure what she's wearing is extremely comfortable.

I found these on zappos

Dr. Scholl's $42.95

Madeline $44.95

Thank you all so much.

Detroit, I only wish we could pop into DSW!  My only DSW experience has been a TV commercial.  We live in the 'somewhat' deprived Pacific Northwest shopping area!

Looks like she's interested in the Dr. Scholl's.  I think she could pull them off with capri's - she's so cute and really knows how to accessorize.

Thanks a bunch.
