I've never been on a game show, but the two I'd love to go on are The Price Is Right and Family Feud! LOL

i've never been on a gameshow either...but i just wanted to add that i knew all the answers on Jeopardy last night too! okay, not allll the answers, but a large chunk, and more than the contestants did. it makes me feel smart (even if the questions are easy).

okay, now you all know, i'm a Jeopardy nerd...

I haven't, but once while flipping around the channels I stopped at Wheel of Fortune (and I NEVER watch that show) and an old friend from college was a contestant. I almost died! He won around $5000.

And my next-door neighbor was on that show with the british woman who said "goodbye!" and now I can't remember the name of it. She needed 5 outfits and I helped her pick them out, then she was the first to get booted.

Nope, but a kid from my school was just on The Price is Right and he won a cadillac!
(I don't even know him though, it was just in our paper. And he's planning on selling it, which is smart I guess but kind of disappointing.)

I never have nor my family. I guess it's more difficult if you don't live near one of the taping studios like the Price is Right where they just pluck anybody from the audience. The Deal or No Deal auditioning is a tad unfair how you have to send a video tape of yourself and your supporters AND include recent photos. If you don't have a camcorder or are at least half good looking, you are out of luck!

I've never been on a game show nor have I known anyone who has done more than sit in the audience of Price is Right. But...in college I knew several people who went on daytime talk shows. I knew a group of friends that went on Ricki Lake with a bogus story, and I worked with a girl who went on Jenny Jones for one of those "I know I got it going on" shows, where they prance around in too tight outfits and the audience boos and criticizes them. She claimed she just did it for the trip to Chicago. Personally, my dignity is more important than a trip to some city, but to each his/her own.

no...I think I spent every day during the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire craze wanting to magically turn 18 so I could get onto the show (I was around 14 then).

BUT I'm slowly working on my brother so that we can go sit in the audience on the Price Is Right (it tapes about 15 min. away from where I live). When we were kids, we idolized the Price is Right and we we crushed when Rod Roddy died three years ago.

for those of you who want to go to the price is right, you have to get there at around 6am, and stand in line for 5-6 hours with no food or water available. I was thoroughly exhausted by the time we got in (didn't help that I was sick and it was kind of wet and cold that day) anyway - they don't just randomly pick you from the audience - everyone in line has a mini-audition with directors of the show (I think they're directors - anyway they are the people who mark down who you are and whether or not you get your name called) those who exhibit a lot of personality, or jump and scream and show a lot of enthusiasm, or are just plain weird tend to get picked. as do very pretty girls. they want people who hold viewer's attention - they also pick people the viewers can identify with (college girls softball team member) or pull at heart strings (the soldier in uniform.) anyway - I didn't get picked, but I went and it was interesting!

Nope and nope. Don't know anyone and have never been on one. Unless you count a campus tv dating show. I was on that. But I don't count it. Especially since I had a boyfriend at the time.

But one time I was watching junior jepordy and I knew all the answers then too. Hee. I rock.

Damn! TV is so cruel! I guess I have better chances winning the lotto since I am rather reserved. You wouldn't think they selected some of those people they choose. Some of them are so dumb and uninteresting.

again - it's all about picking people the viewers like watching or can identify with. think about who watches the show - primarily middle class to lower middle class, mostly blue collar, or stay-at-home (it's on at 11AM), and college students. Now I'm talking primary demographic profiles here - there's others viewers as well, but they are not in the majority. I'm not in the majority demographic, and I'm pretty reserved too...

A guy I know went on there when he was a college student. He went during his spring break and stood in line day after day, and they never called his name no matter what he did. The last day he was there, he was doing his "audition" for the last time, and they asked him what he does, he said he was a student, they asked what he was studying, and he said he was studying to be a dietician (he weighs 350+ lbs.) they thought he was pretty funny apparently, so he ended up getting called that day... and he went on and won BOTH showcases.

but my step-cousin was on the Wheel of Fortune and ended up winning the show- but not the end prize...
