the bf and i picked up a strange fruit at the gardenstand/truck the other day just for the hell of it and cause we liked the look of it. it was yellow and round with a bulbous end. the fruit smelled sorta orangey, sorta grapefruity so we were both intrigued. we take it home and look it up on the internet and discover it is a pomelo. which, to our surprise, is not a cross breed as we had thought. originally we thought it was a cross between a grapefruit and an orange but nope...grapefruit is the cross breed. it's a cross between the orange and pomelo. thank you wikipedia. anyway...along with that lovely information about the pomelo there is also a link to another wikipedia definition, "limecat". what on earth could it be? a new fruit, something crossed with a lime? oh tell us, wikipedia, what is a limecat? well...it's a....cat, wearing a wig/hat made of some fruit. i personally think it looks like a a green pomelo (note the large amounts of flesh inside the rind) and not a lime, but really, what's it matter? it's a limecat! thank you wikipedia!
ladies of stylethread...i give you the limecat!
