for some reason i CAN NOT stop buying shoes for spring. maybe it's because i went so long without buying any new shoes or because there are so many cute fun styles out there right now, but i feel like i see 10 new pairs of shoes that i want every day!


the latest shoes that have caught my eye -

from, believe it or not, payless! i wonder if they are comfortable. anyone seen them in person? they're only $17.


i really like the heel and the woven look and the colors - the only thing that i'm not 100% happy about is that big flower on the front.


what do people think? cute for one season and a few wears for $17 or not even worth that?

I think they are totally cute, and I'm suprised they are from Payless. I too am not sure about the flower, especially since they didn't show it head-on... but for $17, I think they are totally worth it considering you'll get at least one season's wear of them. So as long as they are comfortable enough that you will wear them, I say go for it!

I like them, and I think they're very you. I would have had no idea they were $17 shoes! besides, if they're just for kicking around in, who cares?  I bought some very cute wedges with a swirl pattern on the heel, and little quilted silk flowers on the vamp strap for $10 in Hong Kong - I love those shoes and they're so comfortable! I say go for it.  What's $17 anyway? 3 beers?

I say get them. I have a Payless pair from 1 or 2 years ago that is a wedge and it's comfortable enough to wear to work all day long. And I seriously got more compliments from those sandals than any of my more expensive shoes.

Not trying to hijack, just wanted to show they're a similar construction and comfortable.

Smash, I was just there and tried them on...extremely comfy and cute but I hear you on the flower. I checked and it can be cut  off. That leaves a small green circle so I sat there debating whether I'd actually follow through and get either Swarovski crystals or maybe a flat pretty bead(s) and glue them on.


I had them in my hand but as luck would have it I actually found those orange wedges that Payless has been advertising so heavily and bought those as well as another  pair in white. They are on sale for 16.99!! Soooo...no cute green shoes for me but IMO they are nice and even nicer without the flower :)
