Spray Tanning...
Permalink Closed

so my little sister lives one mile from me and is an avid tanner (i'm trying to change that).  so i was shopping for some sunless tanning lotions and found one of those sunless tanning sprayer systems.  it's $160.

Paasche Tanning Airbrush System

this got me thinking that if her and i use it, and any of my other friends, even if my brother used it, it would be totally worth it if it did a good job.  it also reminded me of something i read recently where women have spray tan and botox parties.  i'm not ready for the botox part, but this has got to be similar to what they use at those parties.  do you think this would be a good investment?  do you know anyone who has one of these?

just throwing an idea out there.  TIA!

It might be more money in the long run, but if I were you, I would find a salon that offers mystic tan packages.  I think that the machine might be more trouble than you would think, especially since you are not a professional.  If you really want to tan at home though, I highly recommend St. Tropez.  Jergen's Natural Glow also gives pretty good color.

i don't really like the color that mystic gives you.  this way i could customize the color to what works for me, and get areas evenly, instead of hoping that i don't get too much on my ankles, etc...when i spray tan.  you're right, it may be super messy, and that's definitely something that may hold me back, but i really like the fact that after some practice, it might end up looking really great.  thanks for the feedback!  the originial tanning lotion that i was looking for was savage bronzer since it's supposed to have good reviews.  i'll look into St. Tropez as well.  i currently (kinda) use Jergens.

more opinions would be great too.

Did you try the neutrogena spray tanning cans they put out last summer?  They made it sound so simple, and I ended up looking like I stood behind bars to put it on!  I think it'd depend on how long the spray tanner lasted, would you really want to cover your bathroom with plastic wrap every week?
