This is a good problem I think but we need some help. I just love this dress but the unhappy truth is it looks AWESOME  on my 14 year old but merely okay on me. So....we are thinking she could wear it as her 8th grade graduation dress in June. She is fair and very blonde and this is all white so we really need to perk it up. Her idea is to wear a tank under, maybe a little crop sweater and wedges.


She is leaning towards a brown racerback tank as a starter. That and the dress is what we have so far. She says she doesn't want to be too matchy matchy colorwise. I just know that you guys can come up with some awesome possiblities color and style wise. I know she's set on wedges and that's about it...maybe in some eyepopping color?  Here's the dress in both brown and white so that you can see the details. How would you style this for a young teen? Thanks for your help!

What color are the wedges?  As for the tanks, how about a bright printed (floral or polka dots would be nice or something else) candy color like orange, blue or pink? As for racerbacks, this year I've seen alot of crochet racer backs.

Oh, I just LOVE those crochet racerbacks!! What a great idea, thanks! There are no wedges as of yet...nothing but a solid white dress. She loves the idea of a printed top but there is a lot of detail, pintucks, lace ect in the bodice so would that be too much?


Maybe the pattern should be really tiny and bounce off some  printed wedges / espadrilles or is that too ambitious? Floral and little polka dots? Striped wedges and the floral tank? I have a feeling she won't be the only one with that dress so it would be neat to let her shine as far as styling it. Please keep the suggestions coming!
