it's gorgeous. esp. love it on the model. i think you can get alot of use out of it and its not too trendy that you won't be able to wear it for a few years. its worth it!
It is really cute. I think you could get a lot of use out of it. It isn't that dressy, really. You could wear it for lots of things...evening cook-outs, picnics, luncheons, work with a jacket, to dinner. You could also wear it to any baby/wedding showers, some weddings, etc.
So, $128 isn't that bad for all of those things, right!
That is a perfect summer dress! It is so worth the money.
I would wear it with cute summer sandals or flip flops and a cardigan, blazer, or even a light denim jacket for a chilly night. I wouldn't wait for a special occassion to wear it--just imagine wearing it out to lunch with your BF and he will think you are the hottest girl around (well, I hope he already does, but guys always go weak for little sundresses). You can wear it for a lot of different occassions too, as Kari mentioned.
It's gorgeous, no wonder you want it...you have great taste! One thing that I like about catalogs and web shopping is that I have time to really think a purchase through. In a regular store I stand there and freak out trying to decide whether or not to go for it.
This usually happens when I really shouldn't be spending the money but at the same time that is also when I seem to need a boost the most. I really need to watch myself, I can easily be drawn into buying for a life I don't live, kwim?
I could see the dress with cute flipflops or flat sandals, in fact that is probably how I personally would get the most wear out of it given my particular lifestyle. You love it so much...if you work it into your wardrobe to the point where it can get alot of use, the cost per wear may justify the price tag.
If the price tag causes too much stress, you may shy away from wearing the dress (because you don't want to "wreck it" or maybe like me there is associated guilt about the spending) Either way, if we buy what you LOVE and WEAR what we love, it's hard to go wrong. If something makes you feel pretty, there is less desire for *more*, it seems.
One last thought..(geeze this is a tome isn't it!?!) I console myself with the thought that life isn't going to fall apart if I don't get my coveted item, it just goes on and someday I may stumble upon IT again.
It;s a really cute dress. It's more of a casual summer dress so it's not too dressy. You could dress it down with flip flops or wedges on the weekend or dress it up with some strappy heels. Dresses are great because you can just throw them on and not worry about what tops or bottoms match. If you really really love dress, $128 is not too much for it.
Now I want it too! I really don't think you'll have problems finding places to wear it. IMO, you could wear it anywhere. Paired with flips or espadrilles it would be a great day dress, but for night you could easily dress it up with heels and accessories. $128 really isn't bad, you should get it.
You should get it. For a dress $128 isn't that bad. Just think of it as only $30 more than the Michael Kors wedge sandals you just bought. Compare how many wears you would get out of the dress compared to the wedges, and if you think it's about equal, get the dress.

I came, I saw, I did a little shopping.
I knew you girls could help enable me. I'm going to check my local Anthro tomorrow to see in-store. I'm not sure what size I would need or if I'll like it as much in person...
I think that's the one I saw in store last week. It's soooo cute. I saw a girl wearing it the same day -- she had on a denim jacket and flip-flops, but I am sure you could dress it up for work with a cardigan.

It's PERFECT. It doesn't look like much on the hanger, but it's beautiful on. The fabric is soft and the rainbow stripes are so subtle but sweet. The tie was right below my chest so it was more like an empire-waist, but since the skirt was a-line it was super-flattering.
I think if my coloring was different (like if I had blonde hair and porcelain skin), I would've grabbed it.

Oh I'm so happy to hear this!! I think I'll have to order it Did it fit TTS? I think I should order a 4, but I'm not sure. My Anthro didn't have it in the store.
I may go to Anthro today so I'll see if the dress is there. I'll report back if I do end up seeing the dress.
Edit: ok, so I just got back from Anthro. The dress was there but not in my size, so I didn't bother trying it on. It is soooo cute irl. The bottom is pleated and the stripes are colorful but subtle in just the right way. The brand was Odille, and it seems like it ran tts. From looking at the 6 it seemed like I could fit the 4, my usual size. hth!

I tried it on in a 6 (apparently my chest is a FULL 34D/small 34DD) and it was gapping a wee bit in the chest, though nowhere near as badly as most dresses. I would've safety pinned it and it would be fine.
I think you'd be fine in the 4.
ETA: I should note that the waist tie is reversible...one side is the rainbow print and the other side is the red. It looked ADORABLE when I flipped it to the red side and tied a bow.
