I admit, I could've looked into this further before I bought, but still I think I was wronged. I bought 2 pairs of boots from nicoleshoes.com over the weekend because they were such a good deal - $47.10 total, including shipping. I assumed the boots were leather, since the description of one pair read: "Details: Soft Leather. Tall shafted boot. Antique brass buckle closure. Inside zipper. Pointed toe with slender stacked heel. Heel Size - 2" (The description for the other pair didn't mention leather, or any other material, but it did call them "kidsoft") They arrived yesterday and they looked too shiny to be leather. I look on the inside of the shoes and lo and behold, there's a little stamp that says "all manmade materials."
Now, this isn't a huge deal because I can (and am going to) return them, but isn't it wrong to say that a boot is leather when it really isn't??? I never would've bought these if I knew they were synthetic, and now I have to go through the hassle of shipping them back because the store falsely advertised them. Ugh.
ETA pictures of the boots...by the way, Elle - I know you bought the pair with the buckle - what do you think?
I can't believe it says 'leather' on the website when they really aren't! I'd be ticked! I would call or email their CS immediately and say that you never would have bought them if they weren't real leather - maybe they'll comp your return shipping.
What a terrible thing for them to do!

That is terrible! I can't believe anyone would think it doesn't make any difference whether the shoes are real leather or plastic! If the shoes are made of a synthetic material they should state that clearly in the description. That is just incredible!

I'm a little confused- both pairs were fake, or just the second? If they said they were leather and they aren't- you should not only not have to pay return shipping -they should refund your original shipping too!

I'm new to this site, but I wanted to say that I alse bought three pair of boots thinking that they were leather. I contacted the owner and she immediately emailed me return shipping labels and I returned all three today. She said the person who put the info up made a mistake. She sounded sincere and was very pleasant about the whole thing.
