I ran out of moisturizer this morning and need to get a new one. lately I've been mixing my foundation in with it and I love the way it looks. If I just get a tinted moisturizer, would that be about the same? Or will it be less coverage or less moisture? I've been using about 2 parts moisturizer to one part foundation.

I love the tinted moisturizer that Neutrogena has out. I usually put regular moisturizer on first and then follow up with the tinted moisturizer. So it's kind of what you're saying, two parts moisturizer and one part foundation. I don't know the name of the tinted moisturizer but it's the one that has retinol, moisturizer, and SPF in it. I really love it. HTH!

ETA:

I was referring to the Healthy Skin Enhancer Tint:

i think it would be lprobably less moisture and definitely less coverage if you got just a regular tinted moisturizer. i use tinted moisturizer sometimes but always moisturize first with a regular moisturizer. i would say if you like what you're doing keep it up. some people mix bare escentuals foundation with their moisturizer (just an idea).

i would say it depends on the tinted moisturizer.  some have less coverage and some have less moisture.  lauren hutton's good stuff tinted moisturizer is really good.  also i like dvf moisture tint.  it is also really nice.  i didn't really like neutragena's tinted moisturizer.  to me it felt sticky and grimey and the colors were very gray yellow.  it's the neutragena skin clearing clean tint.

I love the stila tinted moisturizer and it comes in different shades.  I don't see much of a difference in coverage but the regular foundation I use is also by Stila and its not very thick.  I hate thick foundations.

i tried this one too and felt the same way about it.  i didn't like the feeling of it and the color was just off.  it seemed gray.  it felt like it would clog my pores so badly and it was like i had been sweating all day and didn't wash my face after.

I use the clinique tinted moisturizer and I really like it. I usually put on moisturizer first, and then apply the clinique stuff. As for coverage, you can layer it for more coverage if you need to.
