Since we cant have meat on Fridays what are most of you cooking or eating? We bought some boxes of fried fish so that we can stick em in the oven. Any other ideas?

um, yeah, so last Friday we made steak shishkabobs...oops.  i guess i'm just not feeling particularly devout these days...

anyway...fish is good, even though it's not much of a sacrifice to me, i love salmon and it's great steamed or baked.  exciting as this sounds, i like grilled cheese and tomato soup sometimes for a cozy evening at home.  I also like the Morningstar Black Bean Burger patties...they're good on buns or crumbled up inside a tortilla.  plus, they're microwaveable, how easy is that?  besides that, there's always pasta (regular noodles or cheese/herb filled tortellini) with meatless sauce.  actually there's lots of italian stuff you can make without meat.

i usually just eat some sort of seafood salmon, sushi, shrimp.  Or ill support a local church and get a fish sandwhich or something.. oh and being a pittsburgh girl... of course I eat Pierogies during lent!  They actually have polish women at the churches make them by hand in pittsburgh.. they are really good and something i look forward to during lent.

I had fish sticks last week for dinner and pb&j for lunch.  This week I'm doing tuna helper for lunch and some type of tilapia or i'm making fish sticks again.  I'm not 100% sure.

How about some type of shrimp stirfry or shrimp etouffee? Maybe shrimp fried rice?
