kooba sienna on ebay
Permalink Closed

Ok. ladies, I think I have decided I'm going to treat myself to a kooba for my birthday but I can't afford a full price one.  There are a lot on ebay for about $200 but I don't want a fake.

My question is, how can I tell with this bag?  I know lots of you ladies have it.

Also I can't decide on color.  I like the browns better than black.  I'm thinking cognac or nutmeg.  Expresso may be too dark for summer.

Can you post a link to the one you're looking at?  I can take a look if you want - I own a scarlett.

If you post pictures, we could probably help. I can't think of anything offhand, but am pretty sure I'd be able to spot a fake.

You do have to be careful, because I have seen fake Koobas at a local boutique (that I would have never imagined would sell fakes, but I'm sure it was) here.  Post some pics.  I own one too and would be happy to offer my opinion/advice.

here are some I'm watching.  I'm not ready to buy just yet, I'm trying to just keep an eye on some.  They seem to have different liners and I'm wondering if thats a good giveaway.

in nutmeg

with this liner

in cognac

with this liner (its the only one that says kooba?)

in desert

with this liner

#1 is hard to tell- it looks like a stock photo, which I never really trust. Not sure what that hanging tag inside is either- mine had didn't have that- the tag was like the one on #3.

#2 looks good to me. Mine has that liner too...I'm not sure when they changed though. Did they make the nutmeg in the old lining?

#3 not sure. For some reason the lining is bothering me (is it pink or is that the flash? I'm not sure what color its supposed to me), I've never heard of a color called desert, and the way the side tassle is untied is bugging me. Might be real, but I'm not certain.

I don't have my bag w/me right now to do a direct comparison, but I agree about the lining having Kooba written all over it.

I think the last one is fake.  My side pockets are more ruched, and those just look... well, not like mine.

I would ask for more pictures from the sellers, and also ask if they guarantee authenticity.  If you find the bag is fake you can go several routes to get your money back if they guarantee it's the real thing.

The liner on my cream Scarlett is that same color as #2, it's like a lavendar.  I'm not concerned w/that, but I agree w/Choo - something about that side tassle is bugging me too.  I'm not sure it's real.
