My little brother is having his tonsils and adenoids out next week and I'd really liek to send him something, but I have no ideas. He already has tons of lego/playdoh and whatnot. I was thinking maybe coloring books/crayons but that seems a little boring.
A little about him- he's 3, really quite introspective kid. Super smart. Loves music (especially classical- the little weirdo can already identify composers) and art.
he probably already has a ton if he's into it - but part of the gift could be a new cd or two to listen to while he's lying around - he probably won't feel very active for awhile and that could help keep him entertained.
If you want to do a giftcard, Target has the coolest giftcard. It looks like a cassette tape and you can record a message on it. I have a 4 year-old and he thought it was the coolest thing ever! He sat there and said funny things and sang into it for an hour or so when he first got it and still plays with it now. The best part is the giftcard is no more expensive than any of their other ones (free) and you can load whatever amount you want on it (I just loaded five bucks on his)...It works double duty...
how about a movie or something to do with art like a coloring book but maybe not that if he isn't into that. The cd is a good idea but you might not want to encourage him to sing or talk because of the surgery he is having.
