Here's my take on tonight's show:

Liked:

Chris

Taylor

Paris

Mandisa-my favorite-love that she went out there barefoot

Katherine

The rest were blah to me.  I think Bucky needs to go and also that guy that has a lisp need to go.

I liked Katherine and Chris the most.

I thought that Ace, Kevin, Melissa, and Kellie were awful.

Ummmm....I just realized that I missed Lisa. Did she not sing for some reason? I watched it on Tivo; I probably just accidently ffwd'd through her.

First of all, Stevie is one of my all-time favorites and I was going to be hard to please.

My faves tonight:

Taylor. Love him every week, and his song choice was per-fect. That's such a great song.

Elliott - Ok, this is just because he did one of my favorite songs and didn't butcher it. Not that exciting, but I liked it.

Katharine - just think she's really good.

Little Paris - I can't believe she's 17 with that voice. Such a pro. And how cute was she with her little pink outfit and the curly 'do?

I have to disagree with the judges about Chris. I think he did a good job, yeah, but original, no. He *was* covering someone - Anthony Kiedis! He even mentioned that he chose that soing because the Chili Peppers covered it. The judges must not be familair with the chili peppers' cover, because that's what he was doing - it wasn't exactly original. That said, I really do love the Chili Peppers' version.

Chicken Little continues his high school talent show act. Ace flailed and wasn't even as pretty tonight. Even Mandisa let me down - when it was her turn, I thought, oh, here we go! But while her voice is awesome and she's incredibly talented, I was not into it tonight. Maybe a weird song choice.

The blond country chick was annoying and I swear that her accent kept getting stronger when she tried to play up her "country" aspect. Bah. And Bucky... his schtick is seriously getting old. And I could not believe his glossy hair tonight. I sometimes like long hair on guys (but not his - ew.. hate how he shaves it underneath), but it was so overstyled... I agree with Simon. No real opinion on Lisa (is it Lisa who's sort of the redneck chick with the dark hair? I actually sort of like her, but tonight I have no memory of whatever she did).

dc, Lisa is the 16 y.o. who was in The Lion King and sang Signed, Sealed, Delivered tonight.  Melissa is the girl you're thinking of.

I loved Katherine.  Loved.  And Taylor.  They were my favorites.  I totally agree w/ dc about Chris.  I did not agree at all that his was the "best tonight, by a mile".  Yes, he was really good, but he was not in my top three of the night.

I hope Melissa and Bucky/Kevin go this week.  Kevin at least cracks me up when he refers to himself as a sex symbol.  I think he's got a decent sense of humor and is a really good sport.

Oh, and Bucky's hair made me squirm--and not in a good way.

I liked Chris, but I agree w/dc - he didn't make that song his own at all.  He covered the Chilli Peppers version.

I loved Taylor - he is such an entertaining performer.

Loved Paris - she is so spunky and cute and I thought she sung her heart out last night.

Bucky creeps me out!  Anyone else?  I'd like to take a razor and shave that nasty mustache off!

Oh and Kelly is cute and all, but I think she's trying to hard.  She really acts like a ditz.  I don't know, maybe she is one.  But I was definitely not impressed by her last night.  Actually, I don't think she's that great - I think America just keeps voting for her because she's cute.  I loved her shoes though!

I missed Kelly's shoes.  I heard them talking about them but only saw that they were red - what were they??

Kevin has got to go home.  Not everyone was great last night (or should I say, everyone was not that great last night)...but I can.not.watch.him.sing.any.more...argh.  The blinking!  The blinking!!!

Did you guys know that Kellie competed in the Miss North Carolina pageant last year?  Apparently at the beginning of Idol she said she had never sung "in front of people" before, but that is not true...her talent was singing.  Apparently her life is not quite as simple and hard as she makes it out to be...I dunno.

They looked like the red peep toe Louboutins, but they easily could have been the knockoffs.

I probably shouldn't say this since so many of you love him, but I. Can't. Stand. Taylor.

He drives me batty. I can't stand to look at him or even listen to him sing. Yuck.

I don't know if I have a definite favorite yet, but I think Lisa, Elliott, and Mandisa are my top three so far. I don't think anyone (except Mandisa) has really been consistent enough for me to get a grasp on who I like just yet.

Her small town charm is really wearing on me. I think she's a lot smarter than she's acting.

I thought last night was so boring. They need to do away with Stevie Wonder week or whatever it's called. I think his songs are too hard to sing...you can't top Stevie!

Taylor, Elliot and Katherine are my top 3 picks. Love them all!

I'm so happy Katherine did great again. I love her so.

I also adore Taylor.

My comment about Kelly is last night I realized that she reminds me a lot of Dolly Parton. I LOVE Dolly, because she's so funny but she's also a very smart lady and an amazingly talented artist in all aspects. Kelly has the charm but I don't think she has the drive or talent to become such a force as Dolly.

Didn't Simon make some comment about her dressing like Dolly Parton? I know he made some rude comment about what she was wearing.

Yeah he did!  I thought it was totally uncalled for - she looked really pretty.  He told her her outfit was a disaster

Yes, Bucky creeps me out too.  Where I come from come he would be a called a "grit".  And...I agree the "flavor saver" (okay that's what my husband calls em) mustache has got to go!

We are AI twins.

My mom and I both independently had the same exact thought about Kellie last night.  Her personality reminds me so much of Dolly.  I agree that she's not as dynamic as Dolly.  But who is?

Dang, my boyfriend Ace kinda sucked last night. And dc was right, not as cute for some reason. I think he was really nervous and it showed. That's okay, I still wouldn't kick him out of bed.

I think Katherine really nailed it as did Taylor. Chris was good, but I agree with everyone about the RHCP cover. Elliot was good but he looked a little scared up there and I think that's why it wasn't an excelllent performance. Paris was cute and Mandisa can sing no matter what. I thought that Lisa did a really great job as well. I have a feeling that she is going to be the "sleeper" talent of this season.

I don't really care for Melissa, and although she screwed up the lyrics she sounded a lot better than she has the past weeks.

I felt bad for Kellie. Her arrangement was weird and her key was too low. I know a lot of people find her annoying, but I like her.

Kevin and Bucky are in the bottom two if there is any justice, and I think Katherine and Taylor are the top two.

OMG!!  Really???  I didn't like Kellie to start with, yeah you've had a "rough life" but what does that have to do with your singing talent??  She's quite annoying.. I'm going to do more research on her, cuz if that's true, man, I wonder if her dad is REALLY in prison or not!!  (Okay I'm just exaggerating a bit...)

I'm not surprised Melissa is gone, she was very blah to me. But really, Kevin wasn't even in the bottom three? He must have a huge fan base of 9-12 year old girls and their moms!

I can really do without the absurd Ford commercials they force them to do. The group sing around the camp fire made me very uncomfortable and embarrassed for them!
