OMG!  It was jaw dropping and hilarious!  I could not believe the Frazier family wife.  Penny went to the airport in I think some type of dress moo-moo and slippers!  When she met the dad, she wanted him to take off his shoes and walk barefoot, eeww!  And what in the hell was that spying from the coner laying on the floor watching that kid at his piano lesson?  Seemed like something my cat would do.

And poor Zandi family mom!  I would not have lasted as long as she did.  Her bed had dirty linens with dirt, leaves, and who knows what (like they layed them outside and brought them in without washing for guests to use) plus she found dirty laundry in her bed.  The house is a complete mess.  You can be earthy, but still keep a clean house.  I'll forever call a Turkey sandwhich a "Clyde sandwhich"   Traci thought it was delicious until she found out she ate roadkill and a family pet!

Well here is the espisode in detail from http://www.fox.com/tradingspouses/recaps/

Departure Day

Penny Frazier finally finds her shoes amidst all the chaos in her house, hops into a cab and drives away from her family and their chickens, roosters, and medicinal plants.

When Penny arrives in Arizona, she walks through the airport in her purple Teddy bear slippers that her husband, George, bought for her because she’s afraid of bears. Maybe she knows something we don’t know about Scottsdale. But she’s also wearing them to symbolize entering into a new chapter of her life in “bare feet.” When she meets Ray Zandi in the loading zone, she asks if he’d take off his shoes too. Hmm, he’d really rather not. Okay, she can respect that.

In the airport in Missouri, Traci Zandi’s first impression of George Frazier is that he looks like Charles Manson. On the ride home, George describes the family pine nut business in great detail. Traci thinks it’s a very long drive.

On the ride to the Zandi home in Scottsdale, Ray asks Penny where she’s from, but she wants to share information on a gradual basis. Okay. Then she reveals that she has a weakness of the flesh. Um, what does that mean? You know, everybody falls down sometimes. Okay.

Penny enters the Zandi home and is awestruck by its beauty. Traci enters the Frazier home and is awestruck by its… uh, simplicity.

Penny meets the Zandi boys, Rylan and Devon, and asks everybody to take off their shoes and participate in a ritual of coming together. We all come into the world barefoot and that represents a new beginning, like this one.

Traci is not so sure about her new beginning. She finds nuts and shells and dirty clothes in her bed. When things are this different from what she’s used to, she feels scared.

Day Two

Clyde Frazier, the pet rooster, crows loudly and Traci gets out of bed in time to help George bring in the materials he got from the hippies and turn them into giant nut bags.

Meanwhile, Ray and Penny are working out at the gym. Penny mentions that she and her husband do a lot of flirting throughout the day, and the neighbors know never to stop by on Fridays. Okay. Then, while she’s stretching, she tells Ray she thinks he’d be surprised at how much she has going on. He’s at a loss for words.

Then it’s time for Rylan’s ice hockey game. Penny’s not a fan of competitive sports but she enters the boys’ locker room anyway and starts pumping up the team by jumping up and down and screaming “Go, go, get it up there! Give it to me!” But during the game, Penny starts to wonder if Ray’s drive for success isn’t blinding him from what’s really important.

12-year-old Zeb tries to cheer up Traci by telling her a blonde joke, but it doesn’t seem to go over that well. Then Clyde wanders out into the street and gets hit by a giant truck right before Zeb’s eyes. Not a good day for Zeb.

The piano instructor comes by the Zandi house and Rylan plays her a new song he composed in a single sitting! Penny lies on the floor behind a wall, not wanting to be observed while she’s observing. Then it’s Devon’s turn. He’s not quite the virtuoso his brother is. Penny thinks Ray hasn’t watered Devon’s garden the way he’s watered Rylan’s.

Back in Licking, Zeb can’t believe their pet turkey is dead. He was like a member of the family. So out of respect, they decide to serve Clyde for supper. Zeb thinks Clyde will make really good sandwiches. Traci’s excited about getting some comfort food and gobbles up her turkey sandwich. Then George tells her he’s glad she enjoyed her Clyde sandwich. What!? Zeb pipes in, “We just ate Clyde for dinner.” Traci suddenly feels ill.

Back in Scottsdale, Devon has a hockey game. Penny asks him about his team and Devon says his team is a really bad team. Dad chastises him for his negativity, but Devon thinks he’s not being negative, he’s just being honest. Have we ever won one

game? Dad has no answer for that. Penny thinks Dad’s packing on too much pressure. And it needs to stop. Now. She’s just not sure how she’s going to stop it.

Traci doesn’t think she could ever be a country girl, but George needs her to help out in the field if they’re going to survive. He gets her out tilling the soil but doesn’t think she understands the ramifications of not finishing the job. Traci just can’t do it anymore. She misses her family and wants to go home.

To be continued…
