We have Puppies!!!

Hi All!  So I haven't been active very much - with the ex moving out - but still not really moved out - and my female chi gave birth on Wednesday!  I just wanted to share with you girls the joy in my life right now!


 


Chloe had 3 puppies on Wednesday!  2 boys and a girl.  The girl is the biggest right now!  Both boys were breech and 1st was very difficult - i had to actually help deliver each one with my sister's help.  First puppy came 1 bottom foot out first and was stuck for 20 min.  Thank go mom is alrite and pups are all healthy and growing!


They are long-hair chihuahuas and look black and tan right now, but hopefully will turn lighter into a dark grey they call "Blue".


One is for my mom ( the whole reason I bred her), one is for an older lady friend of the stud's daddy (she actually is their regular doggie sitter).  The third is so difficult - I haven't decided whether to keep him/her, give him/her to Steve (Bailey & Chloe's daddy/my ex), or I have two co-workers who want the pup.  Eeek!  Well - I have a time to decide!   Pictures can be seen here.. I'll update - I swear they've grown by the hour!

For some reason I had to copy and paste the pictures into a ms word document to see them (as happens occasionally), but boy are they sweet!


She looks like such a good mommy to her itty-bitty puppies.

oh my gosh, they're so tiny! they almost look like little gerbils or hamsters or something tiny and rodent, but in a good cute way. how big is the mommy? like normal chi size, or are the longer haired ones bigger/smaller than the short hair?

Wow!  They are sooooooooo tiny!  The one with your finger in the pic really shows how small they are.  How cute.

Aww... thanks girls!!!


They have almost doubled in weight - average 6 oz each now!  Had their dewclaws removed on Saturday!  Mom is about 5 lbs give or take - depending on how much she eats! :P


Sorry for those who can't see the pics - I'll send you the album if you PM me your emails.


Will keep taking pics as they grow.  Right now, all the pis are of them sucking on the mom.  They're so relentless - my poor girl has sore nipples! :P LoL!
