Wow.  That is so sad.  Thanks for sharing this.  Wasn't it reported earlier that she never even smoked??  Scary.

I just saw that and I'm so sad about it!  I can't believe such awful things happen to the two of them--they seemed like such nice, good people, you know?


From what I understand, Dana had been a lounge singer and had spent a lot of time in smoky bars and even though she never smoked, they thing she had lung cancer because of second hand smoke. 


I had somehow thought that her type of cancer was the kind you could recover from.  I had no idea it was that serious.


Their poor son--isn't he like 15 now?  Ugh.

I saw this this morning on CNN.  How sad.  I feel so bad for their son - losing both parents w/in a year. 


Was she diagnosed w/cancer before or after Christopher died?  I think it was after, right?

and the son was only 13.. i can't  imagine.


apparently 1 in 5 lung cancer cases never smoked.. scary!

Look at it this way, the couple just wasn't meant to be apart for very long.  Now they are together again!  That is terrible for the kid though.
