WOW.....my niece
Permalink Closed

Ok, yesterday I called my 17-yr. old niece Marquel, to see how she was doing, etc. on her cell phone. I'm not SURE it was her that answered, but I thought it was, so I was joking around, kept saying "hello, who's this", for a few seconds, and BOOM - I hear 'who is this you f***ing hoe!" I said "EXCUSE ME!?!", then I think the phone was handed over to Marquel, and she says Hello. I tell her it's me and asked her who answered her phone, and boom - she hangs up. I call back, get her voice mail, I leave my number. Then I call back from Mom's home phone, they let music play in the back ground, then hang up. I call ONE LAST TIME, and leave a message, saying it's her Auntie, and to call me. I'm just in SHOCK over her, if it was her that answered, and disguised her voice. She's disrespected her Mom and Dad (my brother), so what would make me (her Aunt) any different? I was just hurt by the whole situation, and how she avoided my calls....

Did you talk to her parents? What did they say? I'd be pissed too. My nephews better not ever talk to me that way. I'll kick their little, scrawny asses. (Oh man, I'm mad at them now and they didn't even do anything!)

No, I haven't talked to her parents, she lives w/her Grandmother, her Mom's Mom, and well, her Mom doesn't care for me, so that's a lost cause. My brother's in Houston, wasn't around to be her Father-figure, so...... I'd say she's doing her own thing, but YES - I was pissed, and I don't think she'll call back, and that's cool too. I guess.

Whoa, that's some serious attitude.  So, do you think a friend picked up the phone the first time you called?  It sounds like that's maybe what happened and then she got embarrassed or something.  I have no idea.  That's really weird though.

Um, I don't want to judge your niece, but do you think they could have been high or drunk? And she couldn't call you back because she was too messed up? From what you described, that would be my first guess, but I am a very suspiscious person...

Yeah, that's what my best friend said, that she may have been embarrassed, after I said it was me, so who knows. She's into ALL KINDS OF THINGS, so I wouldn't put being high or drinking past her. Love her dearly, but she's going to graduate soon, so.........

I with Dizzy here, sounds like she might have been messed up to me.

Irregardless, disrespect would never be tolerated in my family at any age.
