I wanted to post my good experience with Geico.  I have heard that the CS in claims is not that good with Geico, but I was pleasantly surprised.

After I got into my accident at about 7:30am on a Wednesday, I called Geico regarding what happenend at about 2pm.  They took my statement over the phone and they informed me that they needed to call my boyfriend (who hit me), he was there, so they immediately took his statement.

Thursday evening, the adjuster called me to schedule a time to check out my car.  I couldn't get back to him and left a message for him Friday after work.  He called me on Monday and said he already went and looked!  (To my surprise).  He told me that it was a total loss and the amount I would be getting.

I ended up getting my check in a week and a half after my accident- they even overnighted me the check (I def. didn't ask for that!)

I was expecting the worst with this company and I am happy to say that I had a really good experience.

Thanks for the review.  I am in the market for new car insurance and I am thinking about using geico mainly because they are cheap.  I'm glad they are quick and nice.

I had a nearly identical experience when I had my accident (I too have Geico).  Everything went smoothly.  I worried about not having an "agent" or whatever, but when you file a claim, you have one person assigned to your claim and mine gave me her cell phone number so i could just call her directly.  and they were very speedy and even offered to help me locate a new car (i didn't use this service though, so can't speak to it, but still a nice offer).  My only complaint is that they were kind of stingy with the rental car coverage and only agreed to pay for the rental for 5 days.  I mean, we pay extra to have that coverage of $25/day up to a max of $750, so I didn't get why we weren't allowed the maximum coverage, but maybe I just don't get insurance companies.

Oh, and we got a discount through our alumni association, so check into that if you look into Geico.

I just wanted to say I ended up switching to Geico yesterday night and i had called friday to ask a few questions and both times the customer service rep was really nice and great.  I'm so excited.  I hope I don't need to call them often though.
