I went to the optermetrist to pick up my contacts, and then I saw the most adorably Lilykind frames ever. They're by Lefant, a French brand that handmakes all their glasses...they have such great attention to detail. But are they a bit too much considering I work in a business casual environment? I also wear contacts, so I can switch for more conservative/business meetings and other times as neccessary.
Sorry for the more horrid pictures of me, but here are the pairs I saw and loved. The option I chose from the last go-around was this Prada pair.
1. Black pair/w blue back (no rhinestones)
2 and 3 are the same pair in different colors. they have a few rhinestones in front and subtle ones along the sides.
2. red pair w/blue back
3. black pair w/neon green back
4. stick with the Pradas (tortoiseshell pictured, I'm waiting for the backordered black pair to come in)
do you wear your glasses all the time? or maybe once, twice a week when you're feeling the glasses vibe?
i'm just curious b/c i wear my glasses once/twice a week and i get pretty tired of them within a year. i'm afraid that with glasses with the green accents (for example) you would get tired of them sooner. i've had glasses with color accents before and i didn't wear them as much b/c of that reason.
I like the blue/no rhinestones and voted for those, just because they're so cool. I reallly like the prada's, but they're... I don't know, cookie-cutter emo? although I do like them a lot - I have sunglasses almost identical to the prada frames with yellow lenses that I love (I don't wear glasses.) Can you get both?

I love pair #2, they look great and they're kind of fun! I have a red pair with small rhinestones on them and I love them!! But I also have a more businessy looking pair that I wear if I'm meeting with my judge or any other serious meeting. So if you're getting contacts, I would just wear those for important meetings, but I think fun glasses would be cool for everyday wear.

Is it Lefant or Lefont? I have glasses by Lefont and I love them! Mine are kind of a zig-zag pattern between a light pink and a darker red and they have rhinstones in the corners and are a similar shape to yours. So, because mine have rhinestones, I obviously like that, so I would definitely pick rhinestones (so much more fun!) and I would probably go with the third pair because the black will go with more than red. Either way, the frame looks great on you!

I vote for the red and blue, I really love colorful glasses tho. I never get tired of them, but I rotate depending on my outfit.
I'd say no on the rhinestones. I have a pair of pink cat eye glasses w/ rhinestones, and the rhinestones are constantly coming lose. I have to bring them in at least once every two months to have a rhinestone replaced. I like the look, but it is such a hassle.
Gosh!! i love that new pair. I want them so badly- how much is the frame if you dont mind me asking and where do they sell them? so i vote for that. Do they have the color of #2 but no rhinestones? I think you should get a non-rhinestone pair, maybe #1, instead of the Pradas, if you don't have to wear them all the time. I'd get a more basic pair if you wear them almost every day.
bex: I'd wear them whenever the glasses feeling strikes or to relieve my contacts lens wearing. well then girl- get thee the lefont pair! i like the first ones best...

The correct spelling of the company is Lafont, per www.eyeglasses.com which has a ton of pairs for sale!
The first ones are the "Naomi style"
OMG look at the other colors!
the dark red!!!
(hee hee...)
They run around 250 - 300 a frame. I can afford them because I'm getting them from my eye doctor and have $120 + 20% off the remainder from VSP (insurance). The lenses are free but I'm paying $30 for polycarbonate ones. Also, my eye doctor has a 30% off sale on top of it.
ETA: I found the other ones (and an ever larger slection of frames) at www.framesdirect.com
