What is your opinion on wearing a skirt to a concert? What about if its Standing Room Only?
I am trying to think of an outfit for a show...the band is sort of mod-pop, like a mix of (International) Noise Conspiracy and Rilo Kiley. So I want to look really cool and stylish, would a pencil skirt be ok to stand in?
I would love to wear my heels like this but I couldn't hack it for 10 minutes, much less 2 hours
I wear skirts to shows all the time. I find them more comfortable than jeans. As long as the outfit is semi casual, you'll be fine. Finding shoes that can handle that much standing is the hard part.
I have no idea about those bands, but when you mentioned wearing a skirt to a concert, I was thinking funky, and ergo a mini with leggings underneath. Just a thought if anyone else is going to a conert soon...
The band you're describing sounds awesome. So who are you seeing? I love T(I)NC!
About the skirt issue, I think it'd be okay to wear it as long as you don't think that there will be much movement in the crowd. I wore a skirt to an Elefant show and it was fine because all you do is dance and the crowd isn't pushy or anything. It just depends on the crowd.
Oh, and for shoes, I like to wear boots because if your toes get stepped on, you're not in excrutiating pain. And I would feel bad wearing heels because I wouldn't be comfortable and also I'd probably be stepping all over people's toes, and that would suck.
For tops, I think a t-shirt or something made of t-shirt material would be best because it's probably going to be hot in the venue no matter what.
And jewelry is okay just as long as you're sure that you're not moving too much because long necklaces and earrings can be a pain when they get stuck in your hair. Bracelets are always good no matter what.
