So I come home tonight to my apartment, after going home for the weekend and all I see are boxes of stuff and the T.V. in the living room gone. So, I call my roommate and apparently, my roommate decided to move out and find a subleaser. Ummm, okay, thanks for letting ME know!
So I'm on the phone with her and the girl (who thank God I know, and she seems okay) who is subleasing walks in, and moves all her stuff upstairs. I didn't even think about it, because I was still in shock, but if ya'll remember my last post, I wouldn't move in with girls next year because they wanted the 2nd floor rooms which I wanted. Now, my roommate knew this and NEVER told me so I could move into the room upstairs. So now this girl is up in the room I wanted! I can't believe all this! Am I cursed?! Count down to August when I move out of here and get my own place!
Oh wow, that really sucks! I'm sorry jen! Hopefully you'll get along well with this girl or at least have a tolerable living situation and then August will be here before you know it.
That's really shitty that your roommate moved out without telling you! I can't believe she did that!
ugh! countdown to august is right! I can't believe you have to wait until then... well, think of it this way - you will appreciate your space soooooooooo much more when you get it.

Is she allowed to sublet without your permission? I had a situation once where my roommate moved to an new city and wanted to sublet to some ramdon person answering an ad. Well, I said "No way," and talked to my landlord about it--turns out it was in our lease agreement that all leasees had to agree to any subletting. Check into this if you haven't already.

Not too much longer... in there!
that's a good point - if you're on the lease, decisions can't be made without your signature. but I know college apt. leasing can be freaky - I used to be a leasing agent for Spears Management in A2 and handled both Ypsi and A2 properties.
