I am looking for a cocktail dress that I can wear to a RHD in April for my friend and then to another wedding in May. I would love to get one dress to wear to both. I like strapless and knee length. It has to be a-line, with clean lines. I don't want anything fussy or all black. My favorite colors are pink, green, navy and yellow. I also can't spend over $200. TIA!

 first three all from jcrew, same dress in different colors, all for $98. its a seersucker material so it might not be dressy enough for you.

obviously, i like the jcrew. it was the first thing i thought of when i saw your post.


hope that helps some, even if the last two are a little over budget, the jcrew dresses are so timeless and could be worn over and over again.

My first thought was J Crew too...I really like the last two.


There were also a lot of cute strapless, cocktail type dresses on bluefly recently.

Any other suggestions? I like the navy and the pink, but honestly the navy is just like the bridesmaid dress that I will be wearing in her wedding, and the pink looks the bridesmaid dress that I chose for my wedding. So obviously I do like them! So I do like the yellow, but I am worried that it is too summery looking for early April. Another ideas?

The Ann Taylor line is not very flattering. That was my first choice for bridesmaid dresses, but we decided to get them custom made. So sad....

Well this is not strapless but someone posted it before and I love it. I saw lovely ones at macys but most of them are halter tops or spag. straps. Would this a option?
