STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

I've been to both. Barney's 2-3 times and BDB once.

You need to REALLY be in the mood for either. BDB had try on room. Barney's did not (at least a few yrs ago when I went).

Everything I got at the Barney's sale i wore 100,000 times. I just got staples...grey sweater set, Long wool coat (and the next year I went back and "got" the hood that wasn't attached to the one I got the year before...i just buttoned it on and wore it out the door...I'd paid for it the year before...PLEASE don't report me!).

Barney's is a mad-house, but you can unwind at the cute little coffee/bakery next door. They had some home stuff too.

BDB I got a skirt I wore ALL summer. It's more, ummm, trendy, I guess. Barney's has more every day stuff w/fun stuff thrown in to search for.

I didn't wear anything special. I suppose it's easier if you wear a skirt so you can pull stuff up underneath w/o getting naked. The women's and men's is separate at Barneys.

OH! at BDB I bough great Paul Smith sunglasses, that wer a bit to expensive for a sample sale then ended up falling apart and WERE FAKE! so, be careful w/that....
