I did - I said a charm & a movie. Here they are:

Both romantic in their own way. Yes, ladies, I will have a tractor on my charm bracelet! But it's representative of my family - my grandfather had the same tractor for about 50 years & when he died last year my dad bought it - they all have farms, so it really is a good representation. And how could you not like the Corpse Bride??? Oh, and I also bot a pink & purple stuffed frog - he's cute & needs a name.

Happy V Day!

I got 2 dozen roses sent to my office. And some new bathroom rugs I wanted. And the "Shacking Up" book. (But that was a dual gift.) He's getting nothing! Hee!! I love presents.

I actually ended up with very fancy dinner, instead of the expected just-dessert .

He called before he left work and told me to get ready because we had 8pm reservations.  I asked if it was a shave-my-legs kind of place, and it was .

It was a very nice offbeat place - we had some really good wine, a fancy meal, and dessert of course!  Oh, and he even let me sleep in this morning !

haha I'm in this boat too. It makes me feel better about the fact that the package I sent him hasn't arrive yet. My birthday was on Friday though and he sent me flowers at work which I wasn't expecting at all.

Yeah, seeing as how my husband got me my heart shaped bundt pan last week, I was able to guess correctly.

We're going to open up a nice bottle of champagne tonight, light a fire, and cook something tasty.  Woohooo!

Nothing yet as I expected.  I was just told "Happy Valentine's Day" this morning which was nice that he remembered.

Yesterday I went to Sees candy and got him a can of mixed nuts and made a card for it that says "Because I'm NUTS for you!" and of course a box of chocolates and I made a card and the front of it says "Sweets for my sweetie!".  Oh, and I didn't give him these yet, I am waiting until tonight when he gets home.  I'm sure he will stop at the grocery store before heading home and go for a heart shaped box of Russell Stover chocolates.  I'm sick of those since we already have gotten some, Sees chocolate is soooo much better!

so laken, what time should i come over for dinner? 8-ish??

we celebrated V-day yesterday because we have my daughter today so will have a completely different celebration with her obviously.  it will be fun though; i can't wait!  last night, i set the table with candles, red napkins and fresh flowers and we had leftovers from the day before (Sunday was my bday) from the Cheesecake Factory.  yum yum  he got me a heart-shaped ice cream cake (same type my mom got every year on my bday for about 12 yrs), chocolates and a balloon that says "You're the One that I want" and plays that song when you hit it.  So cute.  i'm also getting some earrings from Alex and Ani, but won't get those until next week.  so yeah, i guessed correctly since i told him what i wanted.  hehe

From my boy, I got a bouquet of flowers, a book on Madonna (unexpected) and I got taken out to lunch and many kisses

From my dad I got a box of Godiva Chocolates.  (I get it every year so I guessed correctly on this one.)  I love Godiva Chocolates.  It's the only time of year that I eat them so I'm savoring each one.  YUMMY!

I just got flowers delivered to work which I totally wasn't expecting. I've never gotten flowers delivered to me at work before so it was a first! What's even funnier is, this morning when I left for work, I guess I had his keys in my purse for whatever reason and I had to drive halfway back home to give them to him, so I was late to work. Well in the little card that was attached he wrote "Happy 1st Married Valentine's Day! Love ya even when you steal my keys!" He's so cute!

Too cute!

My mom asked if I had gotten my card yet and dad said I should be expecting something in the next day or two, so we'll see what happens

Some of you have seriously romantic men.

Err, today I bought myself a pretty black onyx beaded necklace that was way too much $$... does that count?

SO doesn't buy anything for me unless I specifically tell him what to get and we both agreed that kind of takes the fun out of it.  At Christmas I practically had to order myself this nightie I wanted him to get me; he ended up having to have it rush-shipped 'cause he waited so darn long.  I don't hold my breath for anything, but it's cool.

Oh, I am so excited! I got a dozen roses, an awesome dinner cooked for me, and a gift certificate for a 2-night stay at any Ritz Carlton in the world! I am so thrilled, because we got screwed on our taxes, and I thought we couldn't afford a vacation this year! So now I have to see which flights we can afford.
