so i live in SC and have for 10 years.  butthead is from SC too.  we are getting married in PA.  i know not everyone will be able to come to PA for the wedding.

is it okay to have a party in SC sometime after the wedding?  how would i do this on the invitations without deterring people from coming to the wedding?

Just include a separate reception card in the invitations you send to those from SC .

I would do them separate...just spread the word. Then send a separate invite for a SC reception.

i would do them separately -- one invite for the wedding and another for the SC reception.

maybe send the SC reception card after the wedding invite has gone out. this would define it as a totally separte event.  if the timing works, send it after the rsvp date for the wedding so people won't decide not to come to the wedding.
