I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY KILLED OFF BILLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE Billy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


I thought this ep was good, although I feel like with the last few they keep introducing storylines a little too abruptly. Like with this one, this terrorist group came out of absolutely nowhere... even if they had included a throwaway one-liner in another episode about how people are getting restless and upset about the cylons, lots of rumors about them having Galactica-Sharon, etc, it would have made more sense.


But now Billy is dead! I almost want it to turn out that he was a Cylon, just so he can come back again... but I know they won't do that. They already have that situation with Sharon and it works beautifully--where everyone struggles to come to terms with the fact that this friend they all loved a) was a cylon, b) is dead and yet c) is now back again in the form of another model, that has all the same memories and personalities as the first one.


I'm so sad now.

I was wondering if you were caught up. And don't EVER think they won't bring him back - we have thought he was a cylon for some time now. Either him or Dee. I was very sad. And think about it -there are 12 cylons & we know there are more on the ship, so whoever they reveal will likely be someone everyone knows.

I agree about the abrupt story lines - like the prostitute with apollo & the whole little girl thing - that was kind of quick for them to bring up & resolve. The whole episode I kept wondering if I missed something along the way.

I have to say - after this episode I told my DH I'm sick of stuff happening to apollo. Let something bad happen to another character already! He reminded me that bad stuff has happened to every character....did you notice in the previews they were calling him "major"? I thought that was interesting.

I can't believe how much of a nerd I am for liking this show so much!

Hahaha yeah I caught up a couple weeks ago! I downloaded all the season 2 eps onto my computer and watched like six in a row.


Yeah that episode with the black market and the prostitute was just bad all around, I think. Somebody on one of the BSG message boards where I have started lurking said that it would have been better to combine that episode with last week's Scar episode, and have both storylines stretch out simultaneously over two eps. I think that was a really good idea, cause both on their own felt too abrupt--like you said, too quickly introduced and too quickly resolved. Scar was good, I thought, but would have benefitted more from being introduced more slowly--they could've eased up on the exposition at the beginning. As it was, they spent the first ten minutes explaining the situation. I think it would have built more dread of Scar, and gotten us more into the pilots' mindset, if they'd showed us slowly what was happening with him rather than filling an entire episode with it. You know, have a couple Apollo/black market scenes, then go back to the pilots being like "holy shit, there's this incredibly dangerous Cylon raider," then back to Apollo, then back to the pilots and oh god, the raider has shot some more of them, etc.


Also, I don't like Lee and Dualla. I think she's fabulous, but I liked her with Billy--who is now dead! The only person I want Apollo with is STARBUCK!

Apollo and Starbuck are great together!  Much better than Apollo and Dualla.  I hope Apollo doesn't stay w/ Dualla because he feels bad that Billy died and now she doesn't have anyone.  Where's Baltar?!  The show needs another good dose of crazy.

I know! I couldn't stand him and Six on season one, but now I LOVE them! She's had much more interesting stuff to do this season, I think--last season all she did was stroke his face and coo in his ear and it got on my nerves. And meanwhile he is completely around the bend.
