Y'all! Today was my first day as a certified legal intern, which means I can represent clients in court (our clients are low-income tenants being evicted), and I drew one of the biggest losers we've ever had - not as bad as the guy who was evicted for sexual assault against another resident, but close. AND I WON! Seriously, I had no legal defense whatsoever and didn't even try to pretend (which possibly the judge appreciated). I still can't believe it - and I don't get, btw, how I can have such good outcomes every time I go to bat in the clinic, but such ho-hum grades. Oh well, though!
Thanks for letting me vent because I was going to burst and law school is not a good place to express enthusiasm. One of my classmates already saw me jumping up and down once I got out of the building, so that should do it for today...
I know exactly what you mean about the clinic vs. grades. I was in the same boat. I'm not good at sitting and studying for hours on end but getting up and going about and actually doing something? I'm golden. Sounds like you are too!!
Congratulations! Hopefully you don't have classes tomorrow so you can drink it up tonight! Yippee!!
