Dress for wedding HELP!

I have a wedding to go to in two months, April 15.  It is at 6 pm in Sonoma, CA (wine country, I guess?). 


I haven't been to a wedding since I was 17 (seven years ago!) and have absolutely nothing I could wear.  I want to wear a classic beautiful dress but I want it to make people say "WOW." 


I am petite but slightly pear-shaped.  I tend to stay away from tighter satin dresses because most of them just do not flatter me at all.  I would like a dress that is either slightly above or slightly below my knee. 


I am just at a total loss because I haven't had to shop for such an occassion in so long.  I don't even know how formal it has to be because I know nothing about dressing for weddings.  I have no idea if it matters, but my BF will either be wearing a gray or a black pinstripe suit.   


My upper limit is $200 tops.

And I saw this one (on the web site, not IRL) last night and fell in love with it.  I just don't know if it would look good on me.

Or if Nordie's doesn't have it at the store, you could order it and always ship it back - they have easy returns.  I think we may need to take a trip to Nordstrom's!
