actually i'd really like to see what erin thinks about this --- is like at-home color that makes stylists want to pull their own hair out, or is it subtle enough that stylists may not mind if the clients do it in-between colorings?

i love th gloss part, but it's the "subtle hint of color" that's worrying me.

Yeah, Erin, what do you think? I use natural instincts for the shine, but if there's something that can give more salon-like results, I'd be super-excited...

This is a little off topic but I use Artec's color-depositing shampoo and it's phenomenal. Practically everytime I use it people ask me if I've had my color touched up. I'm going on my 3rd month since I've colored my hair and I'm obsessed about fading hair color, so I think that's saying something. Of course if I washed my hair more and used the Artec more often, it would probably look better...

i've not used the frieda color glaze stuff, but i love artec's color depositing shampoos. they too give just a hint of pigment. they aren't going to change anything drastic, but it's nice for upkeeping color.

does the john frieda stuff come with a developer? if not, it sounds like it would be more like a temporary color (only a couple shampoos) versus a color glossing, which typically lasts a 3-4 weeks (depending on how dark the color is).

one thing that can help with color depositing shampoos or conditioners is using heat with it. put a shampoo cap on my head and sit under a hooded dryer for 10 minutes or so when i want to refresh my color. but since not everyone has a hooded dryer, i would recommend putting a shampoo cap on (they are cheap -- probably 100 for a dollar at sallys) then wrapping your hair with a damp, hot towel. the cap is to prevent color getting on your towel. (pigmented shampoos and conditioners do tend to stain)
