So I walk out to my car this morning...

and over night, someone broke my side mirror. It was in pieces, laying on the ground. Thanks asshole, whoever did it, now my 70 year old Dad has to put in a days work for the money to fix that. Why are there people in the world like this? I just hope karma gets them.

Aw Jen, that bites. My friend's car just got broken into the other day and they stole everything. Radio, the paperwork for the car, all the junk in her trunk, shoes, cds, all of it. Worse part was that she had left her license in the car and now that's gone, too, along with all her personal information. Oh yeah, and they popped her ignition so she can't even drive the car.

I really do think these kind of people have some bad karma and they'll get theirs in the end.

The exact same thing happened to my brother in law 3 weeks ago, he has a shiny red sports car and couldn't find parking inside our complex and parked it in the street. They broke the passenger window & stole his stereo & all his CDs.

As Liz said above - I really do think these kind of people have some bad karma and they'll get theirs in the end.

Well, my Dad thinks it'll be about $100 to fix which is less than our deductable (sp?). The thing is, if they stole something while that would be 10 times worse, at least there is a motive. What the hell is the point of just breaking my mirror? Why?

That's so horrible.  Of course, it would be awful for someone to break in to steal something, but I think this is extra bad because they were just doing it to be cruel.  Hopefully, someone will trash their car.

Mean people suck. Hope your day gets better - and how sweet is your dad to fix it for you?

Oh, that sucks. I actually got rid of my car 3 years ago after 2 incidents in a month where someone plowed into my car as it was parked on the street in front of my building. That was $500 a pop!

The second time, someone left a note saying they witnessed it and left the license plate number, but they signed "A concerned neighbor." So because I had no actual eyewitness I couldn't go after they guy. He lived around the block from me and had a car that was being held together by duct tape. He denied it, of course, even though his car's turquoise paint was all over my bumper. I was really bitter. But, then one day I saw him...he was severly obese, out of breath, sweaty, filthy and clearly was struggling in many ways. I can't explain it, he just seemed like a miserable old bastard and I kind of felt sorry for him.
