Bachelor Poll...
Permalink Closed

I was watching the Bachelor last night with friends who had never seen it before and they were shocked by the whole room key thing. These are in no way prudish girls either. I hadn't ever really thought about it I guess. So my question...

Would you spend the night in the fantasy suite?

I don't think I would. Under normal circumstances, most likely. But I just really wouldn't like the idea of him offering the key to other women. Also, it's a competition. I feel like sex should not be a competitive sport and that would make it totally unenjoyable cause I'd be so nervous and I'd feel AWFUL about it afterward. And even though no one admits to sleeping with him, it's always assumed. Whether or not I actually did sleep with him it's not something I would want to give America the ability to make assumptions about. Plus your mom is watching. Awkward.

well, surely we are grown up enough to know that just because you don't spend the night in the fantasy suite doesn't mean no sex. And just because you did doesn't mean yes sex. So that being said, I would probably do it but no way I'd have sex with him. Or anything close to sex. But i think not getting to spend that time together is a disadvantage.

Do you think goody goody sarah is going to? I have no doubt about the other girls.

ETA: i think the fact that mom is watching him make out with tons of girls is more awkward than her knowing i spent the night.

ETA: again - i meant sarah TN - i figure susan will!

Like Laken, I'd probably spend the night, but no sex.  Uh uh, no siree Bob.  I just prefer knowing that the person I'm sleeping with isn't about to sleep with three other girls.  But that's just me.

Yes, it would be awkward that your parents (and worse--grandparents!) would probably be watching, but the whole process is weird and awkward enough, that sleeping in the same room would probably be fine by the time that part of the show rolled around.

I have no doubt that Susan will sleep with him.  I doubt whatshername from Tennessee will, and I'm not sure about Moana.  But Susan seems to have no soul whatsoever, so I have no doubt that she'll sleep with him if she thinks it's a necessary means for her to get a big break in Hollywood.

I don't know, but I don't think Sarah is a goody-goody. I think it's an act, and I think she just wants to be a doctor's wife. I think she will.

I would NEVER hook up in the fantasy suite. As a viewer, it totally grosses me out to think of him hooking up with 3 girls in a week, and I can't imagine what it would do to me if I were dating him. I could never go on this show. Do you think the producers provide them with protection?  Even aside from all those issues, Travis (and all the other bachelors) are SO boring. I would hate spending that much time with them. I would def. check out the suite, though!

I find this show so awful, and yet I keep watching. Ugh.

ITA w/ this.  Just yuck.

I don't think that Sarah will sleep with him.  I think Susan will.  I'm undecided on Moana, but I would guess no.  I think they will all accept the night in the fantasy suite.

oops, that was bad writing on my part. I don't think Sarah will sleep with him. I meant I think she'll be a doctor's wife. I think she's a total Rules girl!

I would stay the night with him and take the chance to talk to him more and get to know him.  I would in no way have sex with him.

Has anyone ever turned down a night in the Fantasy Suite? I haven't watched all the seasons religiously, but I've never seen someone say no either. But if I were on the show (not that I would ever be), if I liked him I'd stay in the suite but I wouldn't have sex with him. My parents would probably disown me if I was a contestant on The Bachelor.

In December I saw Alex, the original bachelor, walking down 54th St in NYC. I think he was one of the worst ones.

Yes, I think only one person though. And she went home that week. And I can't for the life of me remember who or which season either...

And the only thing I remember about Alex is that he picked the girl that did that crazy dessert in their fantasy suite - the one with the plastic sheets & chocolate sauce - uh - oh yeah!

Oh yeah, I remember now! Gross! I remember them saying he picked that girl because she was all kinky, like they heard spanking noises coming out of the room or something equally yucky.

At first I liked Bob Guiney the best out of all the bachelors but then he just wanted to make out with everyone.

i probably wouldn't, and it would totally be because i wouldn't want my family and friends who were watching to think less of me because of it.  i'm a total coward, i know.
