Buying a condo
Permalink Closed

Going back and forth with the seller to buy  a condo- and the whole process is putting a big knot in my stomach. Im really excited to finally own something, and get out of an apartment, but still cant help feeling the terror of an increased monthly payment. The cost to buy a home in california is so overinflated- cant really touch anything decent below 350,000- so we thought we would start lower with a condo. When your inside you cant even tell that this is what you are in- and also the sad part, a nice updated condo cant be bought for under 250,000. Im in sacramento, I am sure there are areas that are lower and higher to buy, depending on where you live. Still, I wish this gigantic knot would leave my gut!!

what part of sacramento are you in and where are you looking?  I also live in Sacramento and I'm trying to save up to buy a condo (altho at this point, who knows when that would happen..)

Im actually in Carmichael and the condo is in Fair Oaks. I have been looking at Carmichael, Orangevale, and a couple I looked at in Cameron Park, although too  expensive for what you get.

goodluck! let me know how it goes.  I'm actually in Folsom, and they have some nice condos here.  But I don't know if you are looking for a house type of condo or one that is more of an apt style.  I found this website that breaks down their listings by cost...i'll try and post the link when i find it.
