STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

Today is the one-year anniversary of my first day at this company, and for months now I've felt like I'm stagnating, and all their promises and carrot dangling weren't going anywhere.  But today we had a meeting of the shipping department, and the head honcho asked my boss to start letting me interact more with the clients and begin the process of learning to trade.  I'm so excited!  This company moves along really slowly, but a few years from now they plan on opening an office in Europe, and last time I had a chat with the head honcho she told me there were travel opportunities, and that I should learn Spanish.  Yippee!

(I work for a commodities trading firm, currently in the shipping department, but was told when interviewing that they wanted to move me into trading eventually, since I'd obviously be wasted in shipping)
