Making a tablecloth

How can I find out how many yards of fabric I need to order to make my cake table's tablecloth? TIA! I think it will be a 90" round? or 60" round? I really have no idea....

My mom will be making it and I can't get in touch with her right now. TIA!

Well, hun, ya kinda gotta know how big the table is before you can get the right size fabric... so I might check up on that.

Here's the formula I'd use, once you have the exact measurements

Height of table to floor x 2

plus the diameter of the table

then convert to yards, and round up since you'll want some room for seams

You'll want to make sure the fabric you pick is really wide, too, so that the length will be the same all the way around.

I was looking for a formula like this, thank you. I do understand that I would need to know what size the table would be before purchasing the fabric.
