I want this Anthro sweater jacket!

This adorable sweater jacket was one of the items I definitely wanted to get for spring.





I finally tried it on in the store yesterday and it was so pretty! The fit was great and I loved the red color. I didn't buy it on the spot, though, because I thought I would have plenty of time to get it before I would actually wear it and I thought it might even go on sale at some point before that.



Well, last night I found out that the sweater won't be available online until the end of March. I didn't want to wait that long and went back to the store today to get it right now - and of course it was gone.



The SA didn't remember ever seeing the sweater but I showed her the pic in the catalog and was able to convince her that the item did indeed exist. She called the Soho store (there are two stores in NYC) to ask if they still had the sweater - and of course they did not. Or at least the SA there didn't think so.



I'm going to check the other store for the sweater myself, just in case they have it after all, but I'm not very optimistic. Why, oh why, didn't I get it yesterday when I still had the chance?!

What size do you need? maybe one of your sweet ST friends will see it in your size & pick it up for you. I can go check here but not until next week...

you could try to do a customer request.. where they find it at any store and then do a charge send for you..  but it would have to be somewhere where they had one or at least knew what you were talking about to access the information to look up..

I bought that sweater on-line the moment it came out because i had a feeling it would not last.


I hope you find it. What size do you need because i might be going to my anthro tomorrow night.

When I want something but want to secure the item but only want to pay sale price, I go ahead and buy it at full price, keep it tags on sitting in my closet until it goes on sale.  Then get a sale adjustment or return and rebuy.  I do it all the time.  I even once saved $50 on a single item doing this!

I *love* that jacket!  The SA had it on and it looked great-she said they were completely sold out of it - good luck finding it and let us know when you do!

Booooooooooooooooooooooooo!  I have that jacket on my Anthro wishlist.  Oh well, by the end of March I should be nearing the end of the shopping ban, so hopefully I can get it then.

Thanks, laken1 and Sunshinegirl, for offering to look around for it. I would need it in large so if you happen to come across the jacket in that size I could contact the store and see if they might do a charge send for me.


If I can't find it in a store I'll just have to order it online and hope I'll get it at the end of March.


A SA in the Soho store told me that they had had the jacket for about three days before it was sold out...

I just went on www.anthropologie.com and it was there for purchase.  It was under sweaters in the cardigans section.

I thought so too, but then I added it to my bag, and it said "this item is available for shipment as of March 27th"...

Yeah, it's there all right. And I actually ordered it a couple of days ago. The sad part is that it's backordered until the end of March so I just have to wait and hope they really get more of them and my order won't be cancelled.
