Lately, I've been feeling like a fashion retard.  I can't seem to come up with anything cute to wear nor can I find anything at the stores that I remotely like.  I know there is cute stuff out there!!  Maybe its because I've gotten into the shopping ban mentality and I just don't want to see cute stuff in the stores.

Anyways on to my problem.  My bf has made reservations to a restaurant (won't give any hints except he won't be in a t-shirt and jeans.) for our V-day celebration.  It is on the Saturday before v-day since we both have to work late on v-day.  I have no idea what to wear but I want to look cute.  I'm thinking a skirt and cute top? Pants and a cute top? I'm not sure if we are doing anything else that night.

Any suggestions?  Under $200 preferably not forever 21 type stuff because I'm just not able to wear a lot of juniors type cuts/clothes.  I live in a pretty good shopping mecca so I shouldn't have to order anything online but just in case i'm usually a S/size 4/6

Thanks in Advance!!

In that situation, I'd probably wear a skirt and top or some kind of wrap dress, because both can be dressed up or dressed down with accessories.  That way, if your bf shows up in a suit and tie or slacks and a t-neck, you can be dressed appropriately.

What colors do you like?  Here are some things I found that I like, but I don't know if they're your style or not.

BCBG $166                      Laundry by Shelli Segal $205

BCBG Max Azria Stencil Print DressLaundry by Shelli Segal Ruched Zebra Print Dress

I have this one and *love* it BCBG $178     Banana Republic $148

BCBG Max Azria Print Matte Jersey Wrap Dress

I'm not so good with skirts and tops, but I hope the dresses help!

Sorry, I posted earlier but my computer froze right in the middle of my post...grr.  Anyway, it's hard to say since he didn't give you any hints, but maybe something like this?

lilacina tankstyle #1080623 available sizes: 4 6 8 12 Enzo Angiolini Rydellghost rose cameos

Not super dressed up but nice enough for a nice restaurant.

Ooh I like all those suggestions.  I like blues, purples, greens, and pink. Lately all I ever wear is pink (FashionPrincess & her pink has been getting to me), a dark purple (the one br had out this past fall/winter), and teal so I probably need to stay away from them haha.

(PS- I didn't announce it but I'm an old poster but changed my name for privacy reasons.  You can pm me and I'll tell you who I was/am.  I'm not a crazy lurker/cyberstalker when I refer to yall in posts )

I'd probably go with something like this:

Free People Crinkle Silk Blouse   OR   Couleur de Rose Ruffle Trim Wrap Top

with

Beth Bowley heather red pencil skirt

and these

Naturalizer Tassy

I'd try to incorporate some kind of sexy and/or romantic detail, like lace, ruffles, or a sheer top... something that will be especially feminine and make him say "wow!"
