The Luella stuff at Target

So when I went in today to get a few things I noticed this very funky tacky jacket (not using the pic from the Target website becaue it is suppose to be orange stripes, not red. Their colors are all wrong, bad photography and models) Then I see that it is the new Luella line, so I look at my near surroundings.  Very cute stuff. Then I see this shirt, soooo cute with the zipper with heart, and puff sleeves.  I was going to purchase it but after walking through the store and closer examination, I see how thin the material is and how cheaply made it is.


Luella Puff Sleeve Tee Rose QuartzThey don't even show the cute zipper detail, and the color is not exactly right.


Luella Canvas Sling - Apple PrintThese are kinda tacky unless you have the right outfit.


Luella Suede Jacket$150 is kinda steep for Target.


Luella Waist Tab Jacket WhiteThe buttons and sticthing are color, very cute!


Luella Patched Denim BlazerEew..


Luella Twill Pants - WhiteHmm...maybe these are the white pants I have been searching for.  I only noticed the black ones in my store, seemed very nice!


Luella Stripe Woven Shirt with Skinny Tie - Ebony WhiteBarf.  Reminds me of a referee.


Luella Roll-Sleeve Woven Shirt - Province BlueLiked the style but the fabric was quite rough.


Luella Woven Shirt - Graffiti Printumm.... hehe!  I can see the clearance stickers on them already.

I saw the stuff on Saturday too and I was kind of disappointed. Some of the styles were cute but the fabric or patterns looked really cute and the styles were really young. Very disappointing.

I think the apple bag is really cute!  I wouldn't buy it to use as a purse, but I can see carrying it to the beach or on vacation to carry spare clothes or stuff.

Eh, I haven't seen it IRL, I'll check it out next time I am in Target, but I am not impressed with these pictures.


Though I agree with Miss Mee, the bag is cute as a beach tote.

update:
I just came from the Target near Ft. Greene, Brooklyn, and many of the racks were already wiped out. There were only three of the red-striped jackets left 2 in large and one in extra small. There was only one of the black and white "referee" shirt, and that one didn't even have the tie. A very helpful sales associate said people had been in buying luella items all day.

I got the jacket, but i really hope that i can find a medium because the large is too big. I wasn't very keen on the shirts or the t-shirts. I thought that the skirts were a bit silly and impractical looking. I was also very disappointed in the bathing suits -- they scream cheap.

I wasn't terribly impressed with any of it.  It reminds me of some of the over-the-top Isaac Mizrahi stuff that he does for Target.  It is just too loud for my taste.  I feel like there were a few pieces that were cute, but nothing I'd wear.  That bag is really cute for a beach bag though.  I might have to go back and take another look at that.

I checked out the stuff online and I don't like it either. There were a couple of jewelry items I would wear if someone GAVE them to me, but I don't think I'd pay to buy any.

This looks okay on the Target website, but as I said the stripes are really orange, not red.  Red would have been a better choice though, since orange usually never sells.

These were cute and all, but the print wasn't as vibrant in real life.  The fabric just didn't look great. 


These bracelets were really cute too, but they were TINY!  I could barely get it on my wrist and once I did it kinda hurt because it was so tight.

The only thing I like is this pencil skirt but there's no info on the material. Plus I don't wear pencil skirts so I wouldn't buy it myself anyway.

What?  A commercial said that Luella was coming on Feb. 1, unless that's just for my area.  The stuff aren't particularly exciting, but who knows, hopefully it looks better IRL.

The cherry stuff is kinda cute but for most of it....  If I was designing stuff for Target, I would want to be successfull, so I would make the items classy and stylish.  Things your average Target shopper would wear.  I would stay away from trends, over the top stuff, and colors people just don't buy.

I was in a Target yesterday and the rack of Luella stuff was all but bare. Only a few XL jackets left and some jewelry. 
I did buy this cute blouse (the pic is incorrect, the buttons have some cute red on it) but I am going to hold on incase it gets clearanced real soon becasue $25 is kinda alot for Tar-zhay... :P Now where's all the cute cherry stuff I see on the website - not in the stores for sure!

I too went to Target yesterday and I tried that blouse on.  I thought it was so cute but the small was too tight in the arms and the medium was too big everywhere else. . .  Anyway, I'm glad you got it!

You should have been in my store, everything was fully stocked, nobody touched the stuff.
