do you think it's rude to ask someone if their purse is a fake? i feel like we've discussed this before but can't remember what the  consensus was.


i was in the elevator with a co-worker, and she was asking about my bag (it's the botkier clyde i picked up a few weeks ago). anyway she was like is that a real bag or just a really good fake. i was kind of confused about the question since i didn't realize they knocked off botkiers. so i said it's real but it's not like a balenciaga (sp?) or anything like that (some people think that botkier knocked off balenciaga) i was like it's a botkier, and she said yeah i know i was just wondering. 


anyway i thought the question was rather rude. i'm not offended, but i thought it was in poor taste to ask if a bag was real. thoughts?

of course it's rude. it's not her place to judge you or your bag. if she wanted to be slick about it, she could have asked where you got the bag from.

Yea, if it was a freind, I wouldn't mind asking or having her ask me, but not a co-worker or stranger, that is just not classy.
