so i ordered some spanx higher power panties to wear under my cocktail dress on my cruise and i have a question - do you wear your regular underwear with these?  they have a hole in the crotch (so you don't have to full disrobe to pee, i guess - at first i was like "oh shit, they're ripped...lol) - but i'm afraid i'll feel...exposed if i wear them without undies (which kind of defeats the purpose, i think).  what do you girls do?

I wear underwear and I treat the hole like a little air vent. I have worn them dancing at weddings before and it can get hot down there! And I still take them off each time I go to the bathroom.

Hi everyone... I'm new to this site and this is my first post and I already have a question.. How well do the spanx work? I have a cocktail dress I would like to wear this weekend and it's just a little tight. I need a bit of control in the midsection.. THANKS!!!

I don't think they take any serious inches off your midsection personally (they smooth and take you in a little, but not like a whole size) - they do wonders for your but and thighs though!
