Help! I need another cocktail dress. Occasion: Partners dinner for my husbands Trading Firm in Chicago. Need something somewhat conservative, classy looking. Would prefer a darker color but does not necessarily need to be black. TIA! Oh price limit is around $400 but would love to go cheaper because I never end up rewearing these dresses.

I also forgot to say I must be able to wear a regular bra with it, I hate strapelss bras! Other than that Im open. Also open to a skirt and blouse/top combo! I can go casual cocktail for this if I wanted to. Thanks ladies!!

I love that first black one detroit posted, however, the combination of the ribbon under the boobs and the pencil shape highlight your hips hardcore. I tried it on and it was awful on me, but that may not be a problem for you.

I really like the middle dress (the red one to wear with your choos) and the last dress that detroit posted.  that last dress--the black dvf one--has a really cool back.  i was eyeing it this morning.  I think it would be a great basic dress and would look fabulous with those Gucci shoes.  Plus it kind of has an innocent, Audrey Hepburn-esque (albeit sexy) quality which would probably be well suited for your function.  JMO.
