feel like things are going too smoothly? I try to consider myself an optomist but it can be hard b/c I have a lot of drama (from outside sources, I don't do drama) in my life. But currently it seems like things are going really well. Maybe too well?

Case in point:

-my oldest friend and I were having issues. We went out for coffee the other night and had the greatest talk and laughed our asses off. Now I feel closer to her than I have in years.

-My brother's gf has decided to extend the proverbial olive branch and wants to be considered part of our family. We all went out for dinner one night and she was super nice (but not fakey nice) to my mom and I. Since then she has emailed me a few times and called once to say hi. I am actually starting to like her.

-My mom has gotten busy with her own stuff and hasn't been constantly hanging around our house. Her heart condition hasn't been affecting her for a couple of months. My bf and I had a wonderful weekend away (snowboarding at a ski resort) and wouldn't let me pay for a thing. It was so nice for us to have some alone time.

The past few weeks, everything has started to come togeather. I am happy but I have a little nagging in the back of my brain that this is a bit odd. Tell me I am just being silly and I should enjoy my happiness. Is it unusual to feel this way?

You are being silly, and you should just enjoy your happiness

I have had the same feelings at times - savor it and enjoy it - who knows what tomorrow will bring, so embrace the present...

I'm very happy for you! It's great that everything has come together.

I think it's a normal thought, to wonder just when the sh*t will hit the fan just when everything is going smoothly. My BF actually said the same thing yesterday, that things were going so well for him that he was expecting something bad. So, you're not alone!

Enjoy it!!!  Glad to hear things are going well--your mom's health, your brother's gf, and your bff.  That's awesome.

I agree, enjoy it!!!  it's nice to see everything happening the way it's supposed to, right?

(p.s. I feel the EXACT same way sometimes.)

you are probably being silly, but i have to say, i get like that too.  like for instance, i love to argue with my husband, and we argue all the time, and then like an hour later we are great.  it feels good.  but if we go for a while without arguing or getting on each others nerves, it feels wrong, because it is like when we finaly do get at it, it will get blown way up and way worse than it should be.  so i see what you are saying, but enjoy it.

that is SO my personality. I think I tend to "make trouble" when there is none.
