I am soooooo excited!!!!  I know a bunch of you heard me complain about where I work and the nasty old lady I work with (who yesterday proceeded to tell me all about her urinary tract infection, mammogram and gyno visit )  And how miserable I was.  Well, I had an interview with a design/marketing firm for high end italian home interiors, and they hired me on the spot!!!!  The office is so much more modern and cheerful!!!  My job is going to be easier and I am getting more $!!!  I couldn't be more happy!!  What a great birthday present!!


But, today I have to tell my boss   I hate quitting, it scares me.  I don't know why but it makes me feel so guilty.  I am going to wait till 4:25 (I get off at 4:30!)  J/K  Just send courageous vibes my way, cause I need them!  My stomach is in knots.

I'm so happy for you! :bigggrin:  I hate quitting too - I get all shaky and sweaty.  Not pretty!  But I think if you spin it in the way that your current job gave you some good experience and this is an opportunity to expand your skills blah blah blah that it might go down easier.  Good luck!

I'm so happy for you!!  I know how much you hate your current situation, so that's great news!!!  Is this job close to home too?


Don't be nervous about telling your boss.  It'll be over in a minute and just keep thinking positive thoughts - you are going to a new job w/out that nasty old lady you work with

Well, I was soooo nervous as you all know, but my hatred for the job and my boss really helped me drop the bomb.  I dressed it up a bit by telling him I wasn't looking (which you all know I was) and that it kind of fell into my lap.   He said he understood and I wouldn't be leaving on bad terms which is good.  Now that it's over I am more and more excited every minute!  I start on February 6th and the woman I am working for is my Best Friends aunt.  She is sooo stylish and fun!!  It is going to be so great!  I am mostly going to be doing office work, the title is administative assistant, but it's going to be really easy stuff plus running errands and doing research for all the people in the office.  The best part is they are going to let me design for them even though they don't have any openings in that dept., they loved my portfolio and want me to design when the design dept. is really backed up.  So I get to ease into their design dept. and am pretty much assured a job there when they have an opening! 


So, when I start I will let you know all about it.  Thanks for all the good quitting karma!!  I you guys!!
