I was reading a magazine yesterday - Either Life & Style or In Touch Weekly and there was a pic. of Sarah Jessica Parker who I thought pulled off the whole nautical style to perfection with a Navy Dress with WhiteTrim and fabulous Red Shoes. She was wearing a Navy Bracelet made out of a rope like material. Very simular to this one from Banana. Could someone help me find a Navy one???
What I would do with that particular bracelet is just buy some of the cheapo Rit dye at Target or Joanns or something, test it out on an old rag or something just to see the color. I would tape up the silver parts with some masking tape and then sort of dip it into a big cup/bowl of the dye. Even if it got on the silver part you could just wipe it right off while it's still wet.

Oh, I love rope bracelets- they were practically required wearing in high school! Try Nantucket Knotworks (www.natucketknotworks.com)- they make the original bracelets and yes, they come in navy (and they're way cheap- $6.50)! The only thing is they are a little less dressy (no metal clasp), but they make everything by hand, so you might be able to have them make on for you. They also sell easy-to-use kits to make your own- you could possibly buy a silver clasp at the bead store and make it yourself!
Actually, I prefer the white/natural color of the Banana Republic bracelet to the one that SJP has on, especially if you're going to wear it with a navy dress.
Also, if you decide to dye the BR one and they're affordable, you could probably dye them another color too--red and kelly green would be REALLY cute and would add a little punch to a navy dress.
